Snow Day

An impending snow storm is enough to make Southerners act like the end of the world is near. We were unfortunately out of milk on Sunday and HAD to go to the grocery store, the shelves at both walmart and kroger were bare. No bread and barely any milk. Luckily I found 2 half gallons so we could survive the storm!
The first part of the storm dropped only a covering of snow, but it was enough for the University to cancel classes for Monday.
By nightfall it had rained, sleeted, rained ice pellets, and then snowed again.
Landon catching a snowflake on his tongue.
Here's Landon checking out the snowfall Monday morning
We left the kids snow pants and Landon's jacket in Ohio and of course it snows!
So we bundled the boys up.
Craig and Landon built a snowman.
Landon's been dying to build Frosty but the snow melted in Ohio before we could build him.
Throwing a snowball or two at the innocent picture taker.

After Frosty was completed Landon got to sled, Mississippi style. A sheet of birch from Craig's woodshop and a trash bag covering it. Hey, we had no time to go to a store and buy a proper sled, plus the roads hadn't been plowed (no plows in the south) and I doubt the stores even sell sleds!
