Craig's parents flew to MS for a vacation, or rather got to work on some projects at the house. Although I'm convinced they wouldn't have a good time if they sat around and watched the existing grass grow, so they planted new grass.
We had originally hoped to replace some windows along the backside of the house but that project had to be put off. Next option was to put a deck on the house, but it was WAY too hot to accomplish that. (They're coming back in November)
Instead they re-sealed the kitchen sink.
Hooked the water line up to the fridge so the ice maker magically makes ice appear in the tray.
Removed the grill and gas line that was an eye-sore in the side yard, except now I have no grill, downside of removing eye-sore.
Convinced our neighbor's hired dump truck driver to dump 2 loads of dirt in our side yard to make a flat spot for a '10 year down the road' garage plan. (Our neighbor was digging to put in a lap pool and a carport, the dirt had to go somewhere, right?)
Rented a skid steer to make said 2 loads of dirt into a flat spot.
Threw grass seed on flat spot to prevent two boys from making a mud pit out of it. (The grass popped up in 3 days, it was amazing!) The following pictures are a week from seeding.
Painted window framing in the living room/dining room.
Painted closet doors.
Made multiple trips to the local Flexsteel fabric outlet to search for a perfect fabric to match Craig's sisters new couches
Fixed our side door so it no longer has a hole from an old lock we removed when we moved in. We also fixed the dead bolt so it will lock and prevent Ollie from escaping or letting the dog out.
And by we in all of those statements I mean Craig, his dad, and his mom. Thank you for visiting us, but THANK YOU for helping us out!
