Halloween

Halloween kicked off for us on Thursday night. We went to an event on the University's campus, we bought tickets, I think they were 25cents each, and went around to different student activity booths, gave them a ticket and got to do an activity and get candy after. The booth that I thought was the most fun; you got to throw a whipped cream pie in one of the students faces. Landon thought it was great the first time we did it, the second he didn't want to, but had quite an ornery laugh after.
On Friday night we attended Pumpkinpalooza. Kids trick or treat door to door to the stores downtown and they have a pumpkin patch set up to take your kids pictures.

Saturday we traveled to Birmingham, AL with our friends, the Rodgers, to visit the zoo. It was a beautiful day for the Zoo, a perfect 70 degrees. Landon got to feed a giraffe and some flamingos, who were surprisingly very gentle.
Here's Craig and Landon feeding the giraffe.
Here's Landon's Girlfriend, Amelia, and her Mommy, Carmen, also feeding the giraffe.

Then for the actual day of Halloween. Not nearly as exciting! We carved a pumpkin. Yep that's it. No trick or treating. Only pumpkin carving. 3 days of Halloween was enough we didn't need a 4th.

And it all ended with a smiling pumpkin and the boy who carved it.
